Wicomico Recreation is stepping onto the court with the introduction of Youth Basketball programs for both the summer and winter months. While our summer program caters to youth from 1st through 8th grade, our winter session focuses on middle school boys and girls from 5th through 8th grade.

Gym Rats Basketball Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University Men's Basketball Coach, Josh Merkel and current and former college coaches and players. This camp will introduce the game of Basketball in a fun, non-competitive enviroment. All campers will received a camp t-shirt. Modified nets and smaller basketballs will be used.

Age Groups: Boys & Girls, Ages 4-11 years old
Program Fee: $75
Dates: June 18-22
Times:
- Ages 4-7, 10:30am - 12:00pm
- Ages 8-11, 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Location: Pemberton Elementary School

Josh Merkel's Fastbreak Basketball Camp

Camp is directed by Salisbury University men's basketball Coach, Josh Merkel and staff including current and former college coaches and players. The dailey schedul consists of teaching stations, skill development, games, and contests. While teaching basketball, we reinforce the importance of a positive attitude, teamwork, and FUN! This high energy camp will introduce, strengthen, and build basketball fundamentals and skills. All Campers will receive a camp T-shirt and sourvenir ball. Campers will need to bring a packed lunch or will have the option of purcahsing pizza by the slice.

Age group: Boys, Ages 8-17 years old
Program Fees: $175
Dates: Monday - Thursday, August 6-9
Times: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Location: Maggs Gymnasium at Salisbury University

Winter Youth Basketball

Registration: Closed
Program Fee: $50 per player (includes regular season, play-offs and t-shirt)
Age Group: Boys & Girls, 5th - 8th Grade
Dates(s): Saturdays, January 14 - March
Time(s): Saturday mornings
Location(s): Salisbury Middle School (607 Morris Street)

Kappa Summer Basketball

Social Recreation’s Adult Kickball
